Announcement

Description

The training program titled “Advanced Engineering I” will be offered as a short, in-person course delivered entirely in English.

Its main focus includes: mechanical design and analysis of engineering structures, reverse engineering-based design, and mechatronics, which combines mechanical systems with electronic components. Additionally, the program features an introductory module on Ancient Greek Civilization.

The course will take place at the Ancient Olive Grove Campus of the University of West Attica (UniWA) in Athens and will consist of three educational modules, an introduction to Ancient Greek Civilization, and educational visits to historical landmarks across Greece.

Target group

The training program is aimed at adult students from various countries and cultural backgrounds, with relevant professional interests and academic backgrounds in engineering, technology, and natural sciences (such as physics, chemistry, etc.).

The goal of the program is to provide theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in mechanical design and the interdisciplinary field of mechatronics, with an emphasis on their applications across various areas of engineering.

In addition, the program includes a dedicated module on Ancient Greek Civilization, focusing on the connection between ancient technology and archaeometry (the application of scientific techniques and methods to the study of archaeological materials and questions). This module enhances the overall educational experience and strengthens participants’ connection with the culture and history of the host country.
