The Summer School provides the opportunity to present recent research projects in the field of cultural heritage, to formulate innovative ideas and to analyze modern research methods in the field of culture. Its purpose is to critically study modern scientific knowledge on aspects of culture, to exchange experiences among participants, to lay the foundations for future collaborations in this specific thematic field, but also to carry out experiential actions in cultural spaces in Attica.
The program is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, educators, professionals and researchers in the fields of culture, education, humanities, social and political sciences, conservation, and tourism.
It particularly welcomes participants from abroad who wish to visit Greece and immerse themselves in an experiential cultural learning journey while exploring innovative research in heritage studies.

Assistant Professor
Industrial Design and Production Engineering Department
Georgia Cheirchanteri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering. She is a graduate of the Department of Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s Polytechnic School and the Department of Graphic Design at the School of Graphic Arts and Artistic Studies of the TEI of Athens. She pursued postgraduate studies and research at the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the field of Architecture – Space Design (2004). In 2014, she was awarded a PhD from NTUA, specializing in Industrial Archaeology. Since 2017, she has been a postdoctoral research candidate at the NTUA School of Architecture.
She has worked as an Applications Professor and Scientific Associate in the Departments of Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, Decoration and Object Design at the School of Artistic Studies, and Civil Engineering and Infrastructure at the School of Technological Applications, at the TEI of Athens. In 2019, she was appointed as a faculty member at the University of West Attica, retroactively recognized from 1992 as a University Lecturer in the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication, with a specialization in “Architectural and Industrial Design Applications in Graphic Communication.” In 2020, she moved to the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering in the School of Engineering, and since 2021, she has been a member of the “Design and Development of Innovative Textile and Apparel Products – DDITAP” lab within the same department.
She is the author of academic books and numerous scientific articles in both Greek and English. She has participated in many international and Greek conferences and has given presentations as an invited speaker at various seminars and events. She is also a professional Architect with 25 years of experience in private projects in Greece and abroad. Since 2019, she has been appointed as the Supervising Architect for the University’s building projects in her capacity as an Architect Engineer.
